3D-Printed Construction

Printed structures, real buildings — the next era of construction, delivered by people who have mastered the current one.

Construction is changing, and we intend to lead the change rather than watch it. Lusso builds 3D-printed structures — walls and forms printed layer by layer in engineered material, then completed with conventional structure, mechanicals, and finishes by our own crews.

What makes printed construction viable is not the printer; it is everything around it. Foundations, structural integration, insulation, services, envelope, and finishing all still have to be designed and executed by people who deeply understand buildings. That is why our printing work stands on eight years of high-end conventional construction and twenty-five years of hands-on building experience.

The promise is real: sculptural forms that would be prohibitively expensive in conventional formwork, faster wall erection, less material waste, and structures with genuine architectural presence. If you are exploring a printed building, structure, or home in Ontario, we would love to talk about what is possible today — honestly, including the limits.

The Lusso Standard

Why choose Lusso for 3D-printed construction

  • A true design-build team behind the printer — not a technology demo

  • Honest guidance on where printing excels and where conventional building still wins

  • Code-compliance experience for getting innovative structures approved

  • The same finish quality and 5-year warranty as every Lusso build

Common Questions

3D-Printed Construction — FAQs

Is 3D-printed construction actually code-compliant in Ontario?

It can be, with proper engineering. Printed structures are evaluated under the Ontario Building Code’s provisions for alternative solutions, which means engineering review and documentation. Navigating approvals for unconventional construction is part of what we deliver.

Is a printed building cheaper than a conventional one?

Not automatically — the honest answer is that it depends on the design. Printing shines on curved and sculptural forms, repetitive structures, and fast wall erection. For some projects that means real savings; for others, the value is in achieving forms conventional construction cannot. We will tell you which applies to yours.

What can be 3D-printed today?

Walls and structural forms for buildings, garden structures, architectural features, and full small buildings — completed with conventional roofing, services, and finishes. The technology is advancing quickly, and we scope every project against what is genuinely proven today.
